Set Sail to Better Care

MD at Sea enables crew and passengers to talk to an MD across 12 subspecialties 24/7/365 from anywhere.

The Facts.

HealthcareLive’s Virtual First solution has a proven track record in being the leader in the maritime space.

Treating a wide array of specialties, HealthcareLive prioritizes crew and passenger health first.

Our philosophy is to bring the specialist to the front end of a case to establish an accurate diagnosis – and then decide on a treatment plan. This helps resolve cases at sea, cut down unnecessary imaging, and erase the costly delays in healthcare.

We take care of everything so you don’t have to, from scheduling to shore-side appointments, procedures, and even up to and including surgery. We make sure you’re covered from start to finish.

Services

Full exams, diagnoses, plans of care, and next steps are done virtually by a U.S.-based, board-certified physician. The provider who starts with your crew member will do all follow-ups to provide continuity of care.

Physical Therapy from a U.S.-based licensed physical therapist. PT at Sea is done remotely via video, and again, the therapist selected will perform all therapy sessions.

We have negotiated and contracted with imaging centers at all U.S. ports and will schedule, order, and follow up with results and MD interpretation for all image studies including MRI’s, CT’s and XRays. We know you will have very limited time at port, and will fit exams around the ship’s schedule. Scheduling is available 7 days a week.

Our partner clinics in all US port cities will schedule, order, and follow up with reporting and next steps after each appointment. We know you will have very limited time at port, and will fit exams around the ship’s schedule.

We have partner orthopedic clinics, hospital contracts, and an extensive network of surgery centers at all US port cities. We directly negotiate prices on behalf of the client, schedule, order, follow up, and coordinate surgical procedures. We will also help coordinate and negotiate post-surgical care.
We will help determine if crew members are fit to fly, fit to sail, and if the injury is acute and needs immediate intervention, or if it is safe to transport crew members to other locations/countries for care.
